Cancer Treatment Support

· Specialties

A cancer diagnosis can be physically, emotionally, and logistically overwhelming. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine may be used alongside conventional cancer care to help patients navigate treatment and recovery with greater comfort, resilience, and quality of life.

I work with individuals before, during, and after treatment, often in collaboration with oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other healthcare providers. When available, laboratory testing, imaging studies, pathology reports, and treatment recommendations are
reviewed through a holistic and integrative lens to gain a more complete understanding of each person's situation.

Common concerns that may be addressed include fatigue, neuropathy, nausea, digestive symptoms, sleep disturbances, anxiety, pain, treatment-related tissue changes, scar tissue, fibrosis, cording, anemia, and recovery following surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or other therapies.

In Chinese medicine, there is a long tradition of supporting the body's underlying strength and capacity for recovery while medical treatment is underway. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms, but also to support overall well-being, maintain function, and help patients move through treatment and recovery as successfully as possible.
